15n20 wire

Does any one know if you can buy 15n20 wire? I would like to get some in about .030 to .070
any help is appericated. Leroyk
 
I can't say it doesn't exist, but I don't recall seeing it.

What do you need it for - Mosaic damascus? High contrast cable damascus?
 
I think it would really add a lot of class to cable damascus. I do not know of any other way to get some varaition
in cable damascus.

I can not say that it is 15n20, but I have used a Greenlee fish tape in the application you describe and it works well. It is a spring steel and it also makes great springs for lock backs.

I think I'd look into MIG welding wire for high alloy steel, high carbon with high nickle

But expect you will have to pay $100 per pound or so.


Try the tech service of the mig wire companies, not the kid at the counter of a weld shop


or

contact all the spring makers you can find and ask if there is a high nickle music wire.
 
Some makers use pure nickel wire. It won't harden but in small quantities it adds some nice contrast.
 
Check with a welding supply company that specializes in aerospace filler wire. I know Kovall makes nickel wire, But I don't where we used to get it.
