Ti 15V Fire Recovery Fundraiser Sign Up
Titanium 15V, the real deal heat treatable Beta alloy that needs no carbide application as it is 15% Vanadium!
It's virtually unbreakable and hold an edge like crazy. Downside - it's silly expensive, hard to work with and almost unobtainable.
I had been saving these to send off for heat treat but can do a few at a time in my kiln... I think they would be better that way anyways. Each one will be hand finished and ground. I do have my kiln so I can get started, grinding might be a little ways off but hopefully soon. No sheath option right now but it might happen. These will be dark after heat treat with satin finished likely contrasting bevels and flats. Tall full flat double V grind with a thin edge. These are quite the steal due to material cost, this stuff is a true aerospace grade high performer and 15% Vanadium is unheard of.
I'm still setting up shop, these will be a few weeks away.

Backpacker 2 was the working name, lol I need to come up with something better! I went through about 10 handle shapes in effort to make the most ergonomic, non indexing handle possible and added a larger Backpacker style blade. This knife is a fair bit bigger than a Backpacker though.
