Speaking of Ewell Gibbon & his....nuts, did anybody watch The Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein yesterday?
The potential for understated commentary on the relative mores of our society (the cuteness of natural fuzzy as opposed to the raw power of the unnaturally created being ) vs the existential nature of the humble chipmunk ("I have nuts, therefore I am") and the gruesome monster ("If I don't have nuts, it's about time I grewsome"), was obvious, but I thought it might be too intense & worked on the lawnmower instead.
