Ahh that's exactly the size I need! The Baby will make a good auxiliary-EDC, but I'm thinkin a Medium would be perfect for hiking and backpacking. Same size as my BDC but lighter by about 6oz :)

That's the first pic of anyone's Baby OR Medium Foxy Folly though, which is crazy cuz I know how many went out last week. I've got a bunch of pictures saved up, and I'm debating whether to do a Baby FF thread, or one of my AK Bowie clearing some vines, or both? Both seems a bit much

You're gonna love that Tamang! Mine is one of my most used khuks. Just all around awesome to use and good at anything you throw at it. Anyone who doesn't have one should be looking!
 
Thanks SingleGrind. It is my second khukuri. A couple of months ago I got a 16.5"/28oz Kumar CAK. I figured the Tamang would be a good bit different. I am hoping it can get me through all the blasted Mountain Laurels I keep getting tangled in.

I'm in love with that blade shape....toying with blowing a substantial portion of my income tax refund on a couple of special orders....

8-10 inch Tamang.... thin and light...good belly, excellent slicer / skinner

16 inch Tamang.... medium duty knife, good all rounder

22 inch half inch thick AK made in Tamang pattern blade shape as my go to heavy chopper
 
Hawgsnawt, if you pull the trigger on a 10", try to request a couple be made, as I'd love to grab one as well.

I've been thinking about a 14" Tamang as sort of a compact model.

Also consider picking up a Katunje. They have a similar profile to a Tamang, and at right around 12".

Im carrying my JW Khuk right now going to town on LAN cables! If I had one of them BFF's and a little stump that would be perfect:thumbup:
