17.5" Chitlangi Earns a name (pics)

Yep.. 3 1/2 pounds! I need a name for her! Any ideas? Agent Orange is taken..good one!
My Giant Chitlangi Bowie weighs 3.5 lbs. And yes, swinging it is no joke.

Gertrude, Gretchen...? Strong name she needs! Betsy and Bertha dont work. Hildagardt? naa...? Tater Salad (Rons my hero)?... thats taken.

17.5"OAL, the blade is 12" tip to hilt, and it weighs 20 ounces. The odd thing is the balance. With that much blade it has no right to be as fast as it is when you choke up on the hilt a tad.

I know what you are talking about. I have a 20" Sirupati named Lisa. She's 24 onces and has an ~14" blade. Balance is about 3" in front of the bolster, which means it's a little blade heavy, but balance is in the middle. You pick it up, swing it around, do some test chops and your mouth hits the floor. How can a blade like this, feel this well? People who try her for the first time say stuff like "This thing's amazing!", "If you ever part with it, let me know.", and they don't want to give her back after a little field use. Royal Kami Bura, sure forged her well. :)

Got a 21 once 16.5" WWII that's also crazy nimble and made by Royal Kami Bura that I bought at the same time. Kami's can do some amazing things when they forge a blade. I've seen two Identical looking Khukri's made by the same Kami, that weight the same, yet balance and feel completely different. One was a fast, nimble fighter, the other a slow chopper/work horse. You lucked in to a Fast nible fighter/green tree limbing machine!! :D

That is a beautiful Chitlangi KJ. I drooled when it came up! I already have a single fuller of the same size and it is my favorite packing knife. Balance on the 17.5" chitlangi is nothing short of magical! I also have a 15" chitlangi it too is beautiful!
Maus- That is so perfect! Thanks Jens and Bawanna both! Maus it is! Ferdinand Porsche would be proud!

While I'm of course proud to be in the same sentence with Jens, I have to give him full credit. He thunk it up.

Sincerely

The Beaver.

I would really enjoy seeing you chop some stuff with that beast? Chop a car door in half maybe? Maybe you can lop off a pig head or two like that Cold Steel guy... I bet you could also use it to bash a door down... yess that would be quite awesome. Please do the world a favor and get some footage of you chopping something down to size with this hulking specimine of supreme cutlery!

Will do DtD! Was thinking about cleaning out the fridge first just for some practice swings and weight management. Few watermelons. Chicken or two. Im waiting for a feral hog to cross my property:D Maybe ill start collecting some road kill on the way home from work! Couple of hogs, deer or two?
