i don't want to add any fuel to this fire, but i thought i would just comment as someone not directly involved in the earlier argument.

I think you are right, people probably thought you were yelling at uncle bill because you were writing in all caps (I know i did until i read your later posts). I think folks felt you were being overly aggressive toward a guy we all think very highly of...and so they responded in kind. Now that we know you didn't mean to shout and you know why we like Uncle Bill so much (your experince with bill's excellent customer service is by no means uncommon) hopefully you'll keep coming back. No harm no foul.

I'm just back from shipping duties and the replacement is in the air. I hope everything is cleared up and back to normal.

I just hope we can get the reject khukuri into the hands of some deserving Aussie kid.

I'm glad this is blowing over..Ghorka, I want to believe the best of people, and honestly, I was telling you like a friend. Maybe my life is different, I make mistakes all the time! This was never about you not being a good guy, only something you said wasn't said as best it could be. When you asked if he'd even looked at the box, or knife, (don't remember exactly) I thought that was over the top. Heck, email the guy; why give it it's own thread? What could he say? No, I never look at boxes? No, I look at all the boxes except yours? I knew, as did everyone, that Bill already knew he'd/they'd screwed up. Not a problem.

Spence, my entire hand was extended, not a digit. And it wasn't a trick; I don't know judo. Notice the people most fond of flipping someone off are often attractive females driving either large trucks or expensive automobiles pulling away fast?

It might be a bit late but welcome to the cantina, we're all friends here and sometimes misunderstandings occur. It's a hard time at the moment for HI and especially Uncle. Mistakes happen and trust me they always get sorted out - sometimes unfairly (for uncle, that's the kind of guy he is). I think the capital letters got everyones back up as I thought the same when I read the post !
