Picture time! It's a snowy and miserable day in Minot so I had some time to take pics of my collection. The only thing missing in the pics is my CS Recon 1. It's my work knife :)

First the fixed blades... (left to right)

My Justin King knives. The chopper in 5160, Practical Field Model in 3V, and the Mini-Tasker in CPM-154.

My OTK knives from David Williamson. Dragon Drop Point in Elmax, Best Friend in CTS-XHP and the Slicer in K390

Let me know what you think! :) I like my knives big and tough so if you think I'm missing something let me know!

I think I now know where the Peter R knives I wanted went! Nice group!

Impeccible tastes, obviously you've been a knife fan a lot longer than 18 months, no one can become such a steel snob (in a good way) that quick.

That's impressive. You have excellent taste. I think a few Hinderer's would fit in there very nicely:D

I like your style my friend! Based on your taste you may want to keep an eye out for benchmade's discontinued 420 resistor. Snody design like your HK. Thick aluminum handle with G10 overlay.

Thank you for the compliments everyone! As soon as I get to my laptop I'll add the pic of my Farid fixed blade in Rex 121. I can't believe I forgot to add that!

very nice and I like that they dont just look like safe queens I think mabe you use and enjoy them :) bravo and welcome to the addiction.

Question for Capid 1, which are your favourite steels?

Wow, that's a tough question to answer. Honestly I can remark on the ones that have really gave me that "wow" feeling after using them as all the steels are fun to use in the proper context.

Elmax- Really surprised me on the edge retention and toughness with the chopping I've done with it. I've tried to beat that edge up but it keeps asking for more.

K390- This steel is something you really need to use hard to appreciate. With a really thin edge it will slice through rope, cardboard, tie-down straps. Heck, even used it to score some sheetrock with no real appreciable edge loss.

CTS-XHP- Great edge retention and an ability to hold that razor edge for a long time. Not as long as M390 but CTS-XHP is a bit easier to sharpen.

M4- Tough and the ultra razor edge you can get with it. For some reason I love sharpening this steel as I know I'll be rewarded with edge that scares even me haha

I have used S110V as well and that was in a Strider SnG. I was not really impressed with the edge holding. I'm really thinking they ran it a bit soft as my knives in S90V lasted longer. My next knife in S110V will be at 64-65rc :D

Incredible collection. I fear mine will looks similar to this after 18 months as well but maybe not as many nice customs as you ;)

Im one month into this hobby and I already 7 knives purchased! :0

That's a great group of knives! That Spyderco GB and ZT 0550 look like they have been put to some hard work.

Thanks for sharing them,
Dan
