funny thing, you being stationed in Minot and me being from Minot (living in Fargo) and we have a lot of the same knives including the Rapture and Farid's Mule.

Really nice collection!

Nice selection, only thing missin' is some traditional patterns, maybe a nice Foldin' Hunter or a big ol' Trapper or Jack.
 
Forgive the ignorant question - I have a lot to learn - but what is that Benchmade on the left with the micarta handles and the thumb hole?

Your missing some INFI. The definition of "big and tough" in my opinion. Problem is once you start...your wallet suffers.

OAL, you'll love the Rex 121 mule. Its a bit thick at the spine but he but a nice thin edge that lends itself to be a good cutter. Minot is definitely an interesting place! I've enjoyed it though.

Packrat6529, The BM is a limited run by KnifeWorks. It's the AFCK model in M390.

HikingIsLife, I've handled a few Busse's but they didn't speak to me but then again I never had the chance to use them hard and that's where they tend to shine.
 
@ capid1 I tend to like the thicker spine, especially with a steel that you can hone down to a fine edge and it will hold it. To me it's the best of both worlds.

Minot is certainly changing with all the oil out west. It is more interesting than it used to be. The saying "why not minot? Freezn's the reason" didn't come about for no reason.

I can't wait to see where your collection goes the next 18 months. I can see a carrillo in your future.

AxisJoe, expensive yes but I have hobbies that pay for this hobby so it all works out.

Mystro, I've owned 2 Striders and sold them off about 7months later. One in s30V and the other in S110V. They didn't do it for me.

Puukkoman, I got the 0560 from TrueNorthKnives when they had a few in stock. I might be selling it though but thats a different story :)

OAL, thank you. I have a few on order including a custom folder in S110v and a folder from Demko in M390
 
Nice collection buddy, it looks like u and I have very similar taste:thumbup: I'm lovin that Justin King chopper that thing looks awesome as do the rest of course, I would love to own everyone of those, so if u ever need to depart with a few let me know:thumbup:
