Here's my biggest one yet, an 18" long slicer with a hamon!
It is zero bevel chisel ground for a super sharp edge, the forward swedge is very sharp as well for backhand slicing. The cord wrap has been soaked in epoxy for a durable and comfortable grippy handle that fills the hand well. I used thick black leather under the cord wrap to further absorb shock, even if the handle is wet you can go all out with this one! I hand rubbed the blade up to a mirror polish multiple times to reveal the hamon, the finish is a rich antiqued look with polished highlights. The heat treat was done with my digitally controlled kiln and fast quenching oil, I clay coated the blade to help reveal the hamon. There is plenty of weight forward for power yet it is very light in the hand, this one is a real slicer.
I'm including a thick padded zip up soft case for storage or pack carry.
