12" AK Villager- Some sort of neat thin, old khuk I got off ebay(same type flared handle), 16" GK Bonecutter 17" BGRS 18" BGRS Villager, EDMF Khukuri- YCS, Sgt Karka Special, and 24"(I think) GK Bonecutter.

what's the weight on that EDMF? pretty tough steel those sawblades.

Bwray, I like the way you made it work for you. Some of the handles are awesome as they come, and others just don't fit right. Good job!

Hollow, I didn't realize you had so many bone cutters, or that they had even offered them in more than one size. BTW, have you used that big Sgt Karka? Looks pretty cool to me.

Yeah 3 difft sizes. The Sgt Karka needs to have the edge slimmed down to chop well. It is also 2 lbs which is really too heavy for me to carry in the woods so I usually don't use it much. It's a beautiful blade though.

Thanks for the pics Hollow. I especially appreciate being able to do a side-by-side comparison of the whole set. Seems like the GRS may have had a blunter, heavier tip before evolving to a somewhat leaner form; the GRS pics on the HI website seem to indicate a heavier tip, so that's what I thought your bone cutters were. See what you mean about the handle. It is a nice design, both handle and blade.

I totally agree with you. I'd like to see them go back to the blunter tip, but they still do pretty well. I'd love to have one that was closer to the one on the HI site. Not the 3 lbs but the overall shape. Seems like they are more pointed and more curved now. Part of that is the cho creep but part is like you say the evolution. I can see how you mistook it.:thumbup:
