Here's a 186 MIB that I got... This one will go in my Collection... Just wanted to share it with everyone... The box could be better, but I can live with it... Thanks for looking... ITE ...

Very nice! Congratulations. I've read a couple of threads about that model and am considering trying to add one to my collection as well. Thanks for sharing.

Great knife as always Easy.

That one is near the very top of the must have list only behind NIB 3 dot or a mint 1-4 ver 110 that I dont have yet. Which ever I see 1st at a good price.(or should I say a steal-I'm cheap:D)

Thanks imafritz, I hope you find one of them soon... Cheap... We all love a good deal... I know I do... The more you buy the better the deal... That's why, i'm always looking to buy small Collections... :eek: ... ITE ...

The 186 take apart is one of my fav's:D... I have a few really cool ones. The one I carry all the time has a BG 42 blade that was put in at Buck Custom Shop and is pictured here in the middle.
Dave has a proto Leroy Remer made of a preproduction prototype.. Way cool.

This is one of the very first prototypes of the Buck 186 take apart.
It was PHROBIS(Bob MacDonald and Harry Camphuysen) made . This is one is ultra rare as the 110 blade was stamped with the PHROBIS dolphin. Harry recieved about 40 or less blades some were stamped with the PHROBIS dolphin on the blade some on the titanium handles some not stamped at all...

Thanks Dave, I have a few of these now... I have a mint one that I'm going to use... But I'm going to take off the pocket clip and use a 426 sheath... and a 110 blade in it.... :thumbup: ... ITE ...
 
Way cool piece of BUCK History is was Knife of the Year in 1987. Please correct me if I am wrong.
 
You just got to love the 186... If you don't have one, you should get one for your Buck knife collection or one for your EDC... a 560 would work... I sure would like to have one all Gold... :eek: ... ITE .... :thumbup:
