ITE and Rich, A great bunch of real good looking knives. Never get tired of seeing them. Don't have one (yet) but looking. Is the main difference that the 186 comes apart and the 560 doesn't?
The 186's are 1/2" thick not counting the belt clip. The early 560's have handle with a stepped edge that are also 1/2' thick. The later 560's have handles with a chamfered edge which are 7/16" thick. When reassembling a 186, put the clip on backwards to align all the holes while you tighten the rocker pivot screw. Then reverse the clip and tighten both clip screws. Then install the blade. It is easier to reassemble the knife if you leave the blade off until the final step, but you should put the knife together with the blade pivot bushing and the blade pivot screw in step one.
The one that started it all. Mock up made at Phrobis from a Bucklite 426.
