This is a knife I forged from some 1084 high carbon steel, it is somewhat like a 18th century scalp knife would look.

This has a American buffalo bone handle, the lashing is cotton dyed with a walnut dyed I that I made, then soaked in resin, and the blade has several finishing techniques incorporated into giving the 1084 blade an aged look.

There also 2 copper pins holding the blade inplace as well as the bone being poured solid with epoxy. The pins are hidden under the lashings tho.

The measurements are 14'' overall, with a 8 5/8'' blade, which is 1'' wide.

This comes with out a sheath, but I have talked to the sheath maker about doing a rawhide type sheath, or a sheath which is decorated and built to suit the time period that the knife resembles.

Price is drop to $270, sheath is additional and can be discussed if interested.

Paypal, check, or money order accepted.

paypal address is a-takach@takachforge.com
