This is a rare bird. The company from what I could find, was in business from 1853-1913. They were among many great makers in the New Britain, Conn. area. Empire Knives came out of New Britain also. I have owned several of those. They do not make pocket knives of this quality anymore. All the old great factories are gone. Even Case and Schrade are not what they once were. This one is a three spring Whittler. Beautiful stag with a nice shield. 3.30” closed. I am estimating the age to 1900 making this 125 years old. Has some minor pitting, nothing deep. Nice solid tip bolsters. Springs are all good with walk and talk on all the blades. There is minor side to side play. The main blade is the long pull type with a nice detail in that area. This is not a worn out beater. Very hard to come by and for those that collect the really old great builders this one is in that rare catagory. $115 shipped.
