1930's Bugatti Question

My grandfather-in-law turns 95 in May. He owns two 1927 Bugatti boat-tail coupes, a 1937 convertible Type 57c (supercharged), an Amilcar, a '68 Ferrari, and he drives the supercharged 2002 Jaguar XKR as a daily driver.

BTW: That 'Atlantic' was sold by the estate of Dr. Peter Williamson to a museum foundation in CA. Not an individual. That's why they paid so dearly. WOW!

Here's his stash at the Weston CT, car show named in his honor:

He's got a crushing hand shake. When I grow up, that's who I want to be! :D

Now, all that said... The MOST beautiful classic cars in that era were not Bugatti's...

...Subject to differ, but who can deny the beauty of the Delahaye.

Indeed.

Edit - while still beautiful, I now see that this is a modern car, created to emulate some older ones, and not a vintage original.

Bugatti Royale -- The Museum of Modern Art in NYC had a Royale on display at one time .Of course I knew about the car and it was nice to examine it up close. However most people had never heard of it.I spent a good bit of time watching the reaction of the other museum visiters--Eyes wide open ooohs and aaahs .It's a big beautiful car !
