No that is not a new steel, it is the year I killed my first buck and field dressed it with a knife very similar to this one. This style is called a Canadian Belt Knife and fits very nicely in the hand with the curved handle.

1/8 inch ATS34
Hollow ground
Mirror finish
Curly maple handle
Overall length including the lanyard ring: 8 3/4 inches
Blade: 4 inches
Hand sewn leather scabbard

$125 _____SOLD____delivered to the US or Canada. Paypal gldrewknives@yahoo.com or money order accepted. If you want to send a check, Let's talk.

I have one of these, great all round knife for it's size also, could easily be an EDC for many.

I pack some big knives around but when it gets to skinning and cleaning GL knives come out.

Gerry,

The knife was waiting for me when I got home today. The knife and sheath are both superb, and the knife fits my hand like I was there when it was made. Thanks!

Dave

Thanks for the feed back David. Glad you like it. You will really appreciate that knife when you start using it in the field.
