I was considering purchasing this 1960's Italian stiletto does anyone know the maker?
Not sure if i am willing to pay the $150.00 asking price just not sure if these are worth much.

The seller says he purchased it in the 60's while he was stationed in Italy could be a cheap souvenir

You can't ask about price unless you have a Gold membership or higher.

Basic rule of thumb, if you don't know what you are buying, don't buy it. Better rule of thumb, if it's an old switchblade that looks new and has no maker's mark, don't buy it.

If you want a good Italian style switchblade, research it and you can buy one new for that price.

I would suggest posting this in the switchblades sub-forum. Mr. Bill DeShivs who frequents that sub-forum knows a lot about Italian switchblades. I'd say he's your best bet when it comes to an identification. But he might require the tang stamp.

It's always possible that it's an old knife that sat in box or a drawer somewhere and was never used or handled much. It could be valuable, or not. Even cheap switchblades can be highly sought after by collectors depending on age, brand, and condition.
