Curious, how long were the 305s stamped without the model number? I've only seen them like this...

The first two variations of the 305 ran from 1968-1971 and had no model number. Those variations had the notch. In 1971 the 3rd variation came out with the model number on the pile side.

I never understand why someone goes to the trouble of signing up, asks a great question, and then vanishes. :confused:
