A magnet sticks like glue to my '72 309 Companion bolsters. Do you have any old 309s to check? Perhaps the bolster material is different on the 301s.

The only 309 I have is 2005 and it's the same as my 301's, blades and backsprings are, but bolsters, shield and liners are not. Same with a 2007 303, 1982 311, 1990 312, or 1994 314. Non of my Bucks from any era show magnetism on the bolsters or liners American or Chinese.
