Hello everyone. I have a 1978 Plymouth Volare with a 318 mopar sittin in the garage that I would like to trade for something. I got this from my Uncle, who got it from my Great G-ma. Ideally, I would like to trade it for something serious. Something that I can use forever while having my great gma in mind. A nice Busse, a fixed blade? Nice folder? A 12 gauge or AK? I doubt Ill get any takers but what they hay, you never know.
Story behind the beast:
I stopped driving this in 2001. It has apx 65, xxx original miles on it. It ALWAYS ran SOLID, always started, somehow even in the cold winters. It never died on me in the sense that it just gave up working. It had minor problems, but it always started and kept me on the go. It has rust. The windshield has a crack from my head hitting it when I went head on into a big wooden fence, the body of the car was not affected. Its been sitting for a LONG time.
I took very good care of this car until some slime ball crack smokers decided to steal it from the parking lot of Midas one night before its scheduled repair. It was found all jacked up behind a sleazy strip joint. Whoever stole it didn't like me, after they were done joyriding, they slashed my seat belts, pried the trunk open, ripped the Hula girl from my vinyl dash taking a piece of my dash with it. Stole my awesome tape deck, bangin 8''s, wanna be eq and more :grumpy:
After this, I drove it for a while, but eventually lost pride in it and got a new ride. I always wanted to pimp it out but I just dont have the extra time or $. It was brought brand new by my great grandmother Margarete. It needs work but it has a rock solid V8 with low miles so maybe someone can do something with it, maybe not. This car never gave me any major problems, I miss it actually. It was sweet.
If your located near IN and have any ideas than please feel free to put them past me. PEACE!
