1986: Kershaw Model 1005 Survival Kit- Imported Knife of the Year. these survival knives were manufactured in limited quantities and discontinued in 1988.
Extra heavy-duty design. 6 3/4" AUS 6 Stainless steel bead blast finished Blade features a double row of saw teeth on the spine and is 1/4" thick. Knife measures 12 3/4" overall. Limited production 1985-1988 - good collectibles.
Rubberized hollow handle is finger grooved for a sure grip. Handle features a waterproof screw on butt cap. The survival kit came with 3 kits; the compass pkg. included, a plastic container inside the handle with fishhooks, etc. and another packet of supplies with survival cards, band aids and other items. Includes a unique heavy-duty nylon sheath that includes a special storage pocket in the front that houses a high-quality compass. (Compass is made by Brunton USA)
Blade appears unused, sheath is in excellent condition. Includes the compass kit, the handle kit, the packet of supplies, the box and instructions. Kershaw 1005 survival kit. Box has seen years of storage and handling. This is a tough knife and kit.
