1990 Buck 301 - the variation king?

I don't really know for certain, but I imagine that one swedge is cut in with the stone / belt while the other is drawn across it.
Thanks, and just so I understand, is the swedge I have labeled as "cut" actually cut or is it drawn, but sort of looks cut?

A cut swedge has a plunge line , a starting point that you can feel
A drawn swedge just tapers off.
I believe the 2 types of swedges are defined by how they look, but named after the manner of how they're ground into the blade.
 
I always thought the swedge would be on the side with an adjacent blade as to make it easier for that blade to close without binding on the other blade.
 
I lost my 301 some time back.

I bought it several decades ago.

I will grieve for several decades.
