My father brought me my childhood camping knife recently and thought I should know a bit about it. From the research online I can see it was made in 1991 (+ symbol), but apart from that no definitive online catalog I saw had the model or material it was made of. Any help is appreciated.

Custom Shop nickel silver with Elk covers, maybe?

The standard 110 has always had yellow brass bolsters.

A real beauty, that's for sure. :)

Welcome, Larck. Can the little black specks be wiped off? IT does not have the porous look of bone. So, it
could be antler. If 1991 it would have a blade of 425M steel. Do you have the leather sheath. DM

Buck didn’t use liners in the modern era custom shop did they?

Wasn’t there a salt and pepper corian?

Lastly, perhaps a stone rehandle?

Brass frame, bone covers with black liners.

Factory offering during that era.Bovine bone can be porous or polished to a very smooth texture.

Below is current production with some what porous finished bone handles.

Yes, yours has those black specks and they occur on bone. But his has the on the handles and bolsters. Plus,
Mak yours has no liners. That's why I'm wondering about those specks scattered over it. DM
