19932 Gentlemen's lockback

Get a 1993-2, if you can. I hounded folks about it here last winter - finally saw one at a store in October - and soon had one. I shouldn't have waited. Not much of a fan of that belt sheath, I may mutilate it and remove the plastic clip, leaving the black leather sheath to pocket carry the knife in. It's too nice to jostle around with other pocket fare without protection. Believe me, it demands to be carried, shown, and used - a 'proper' sort of 'Gent's knife', I suppose. It's nice to see a smile when I loan it to someone to open a bag of chips, etc, as opposed to the 'Yuck!' look my beatup Blur commands. Seriously, I try to stay US-made in my knives, but this guy from Japan is a keeper... get one - to use - while you can. I wish I had gotten mine earlier. Oddly, it was cheaper delivered than that 1725CB I won as 'Brand New' from an Evil-Bay shyster (I got a buble-wrapped 'Blem'!). Buy from a store!

My 1993-2 came in the other day and I am most impressed (thanks Dave).

As for the back pocket sheaths that were mentioned earlier; I guess since I brought it up I should take the plunge. I just ordered a divided medium and I will post pics as soon as it comes in.

I read on some website that the 1993-2 production was limited to 600 pieces...is that true?

Edit: Nevermind... I reread the rest of the thread. :foot:

I love everything about this knife but the lock. I think this would be awesome with a, slim button, hawk lock. I might get one anyway for when one hand opening pocket knives become illegal in Texas.
