Can someone run this through the "Dave to English" translator?
yup sure can !
my grand father used a black sided slip joint to
cut his plug apple flavored chewing tobaca
my child hood name for him was pappo not papa
he used a black sided knife like your slip joint..
on looking at the your knife picture
memories come un bidden back to me
so i wrote that ...
then as i wrote it more memories come back and
i stoped and went and got me a drink to sit and remember ... things...
this act of calling memories from years ago to mind
was called "wool gathering"
perhapps this is from a generation before your time...
wool was shead and coughts in tuffs amound branches along the paths critters had taken ... one had to go down these paths time and time again plucking the wool to make it into felt blankets...not a hard job... it was done a lot by older members of tribes both here in america and other places in the world ... thus wool gathering is an old folks thing to do...
when asked what she was doing glaseing out of a window thinking of things she did as a young woman..my grandmother said she was "wool gathering "
she would not understand "gather your defecation about your self"
do you understand now?
