1HP or 2HP HF Dust collector

Finally getting my new shop set up and am going to buy one of the HF dust collector systems. Those of you that have one of these, is the larger 2HP needed or is the smaller one enough? It will be running through a separate trash can spark arrestor as well, if that makes a difference in the power needed. Im also sorta concerned about the noise level as i do have neighbors and tend to work at night.
