1K posts GAW and celebration! Why are you an Emerson fan?

Hey guys, there are 9 guys who have not responded at all; I sent them messages today and I hope they respond. If they do not get back to me by Saturday, their prizes will be given to the guys who sent me their names and addresses.
I just wanted to post this and maybe I'll get a response.
when you post to a thread you get subscribed to it automatically, I assume, so everyone should see this, I assume again.
Have a great day guys.
Alex.

Hey! Just saw your message -- thanks! I'll send my info soon--between work and my new born, I'm just checking BF now. Thanks again for the GAW!

That's awesome guys! I'm having a little bit of a delay sending the items out; I fell down in the shower a few days ago and took a big hit to my back, I also cut my foot as my feet went flying up in the air and I hit the faucet of the tub with my right foot; and can barely walk; I went to see the doctor yesterday since it is getting worse, I can't wear shoes at all; but no matter what happens I will mail everything out by the end of this week, I promise.
Not to be gross but a picture speaks more than a thousand words:

It looks worse today, the doctor said he might have to put me on antibiotics; the pain is getting better though so that's good news. My bathroom looked like i killed someone in there, blood everywhere.
Sorry for the delay.

Also, there's a few guys who have not sent their address yet, I hope you read this!

Wow, that is a NASTY cut! What kind of faucet do you have?!? That looks like you need stitches or at least crazy glue... OUCH!!! Hope your back is not too bad.

Thanks man; it's just a regular tub faucet; chromed, the kind everybody has I guess; I thought I hit the plug lever but when I saw the cut I realized I hit the faucet; the thing is I was drying my feet with one foot in the air, I've been doing that since I can remember and never had a problem; but I'm 57 now and I wasn't paying attention on top of that (now you know how old I am, ha ha); this is the first time in my life I've taken a fall like that.
Like I said, sorry about the grossness of the foot, I had to start taking cholesterol meds since last year, and my toe nails developed some kind of fungus, it's gross!
I'm going to see a podiatrist soon, my doctor just wants me to flush the cut with hydrogen peroxide and not wear shoes, only sandals.
Man I tell you, getting old is a very weird experience for me; I see my body and mind changing but I feel the same inside; like I'm still in my 30's; time flies for sure.
Anyway thanks for the sympathy, and sorry for rambling, I tend to get sidetracked sometimes.
By the way, my toes got black from the trauma, that's what the doctor told me, I freaked out when I saw them the following day.

Holy Crap! I pray that mends quick for you Buddy!!!:concern:

I feel ya on the getting old part. Things just don't work or heal the same.:o

Dang man, hope you get healed up quickly. Sounded like a nasty spill.

Thanks guys; yeah the foot doesn't look good right now, I think I have an infection, going to the doctor again. Yeah Ray, I used to cut my hands working and would heal in a few days, not anymore, this is just lingering, sucks. I'll be okay, just need more time, thanks for the prayers.

For that fungus, if you are in a warm climate, it helps. I would strongly recommend walking around without shoes on (barefooted) in your back yard. If you visit the beach when it is 70+ degrees and walk around on the hot sand and let that sun, air, and heat get to your feet at least a few hours a week, it should take care of that fungus. Don't sleep with socks on either. Poor guy. If the bruising is really bothering you, I suggest a product called tiger balm. It is an age old mandarin remedy for swelling, inflammation and sports related injuries. Apply it liberally to areas that do not have open wounds. It will take that bruising and swelling away. Poor guy.
Neosporin for the cut.
Hope you heal up fast bud. That looks like it really hurts. Maybe a trip to the hot sand and sun on a beach is in order soon as the cut is healed. Smear the toes and front of feet with tiger balm. Tiger balm gives a cooling feeling and reduces swelling more than anything else you could buy. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips Zemapeli, I will definitely go to the beach as soon as the cut heals. It's funny you mention the Tiger Balm, my mom used to use the stuff on us when I was a kid, so it is a very old remedy and it surely works, thanks for reminding me of it.

Also, I wanted to let everyone know that I send every thing out on Monday; two guys did not respond on time, which was by last Saturday, and unfortunately they lost their prizes; I'll try to make it up to you guys in the future but at this point everything is gone, so sorry about that:confused:

If you are reading this and didn't send me your info, send it to me anyway and I'll see what I can come up with, no promises though. To everyone else, post a picture of your prize here after you installed it, whether it is a sticker or a patch or a coin.
My best to all of you guys, thank you all for your kind words and wishing me well, I really appreciate it.
Alex.

Well I tried but cannot discern what the model is on the knife on the right side of your picture, the one that says Eotac on it, I assume the one on the left is a 10? I know, I should know better, but there are some Emersons I have never seen before.

That's what it is commonly reffered to as the Eotac, I have also heard it called the snake 10. I have an obsession with thumb hole opening Emerson's.
