I called in my order. I had some problem getting through but finally did. I got my knife a few days later with no problems. I see some negative posts about 1SKS and some other internet dealers about knives not being shipped for long lengths of time. I would think that the problem in some of those situations is that the dealer does not have the knife in stock. I try avoid that situation by finding out first if the knife is in stock.

I'm currently trying to figure out what's going on with my MT LCC D/A (Carbon Fiber scales, Plain Blade) that I ordered in the middle of last September.
I'll post my results when I hear something from 1SKS. I've heard only glowing reports from them so I pretty much expect that things will be resolved as quickly as possible.

I think that there's been a long backorder for carbon fiber scale models. They've got an inv. clearance on with the micarta scales model still in stock for 219.99! You could probably cancel the old one and get the one in stock, but they're not taking phone calls during the software upgrade they're going through this week. I almost bit on 219.99!

Carbon Fiber models are indeed in short supply - I don't know exactly why, but there seems to be a glut of Micarta's out there, but no CF models to be had. We do have plenty of Micarta's in stock, so we'd be more than happy to change your order over to that if you should so choose.
If you want to do this, please call us so we have some sort of accountability for getting your order changed. If you answer in this thread, I can't guarantee we can keep track of it with the 1000's of other tasks that make life so fun.

I realize that the wait in getting this wasn't your fault as I ordered this knife in September. The date on the the blade is 12/2000, so I guess that it is hot off the press so to speak.
