1st. Custom Folder..Need Advice

Im in the maket for my first custom folder.I want a tatical style,with or without a flipper,handle 4 7/8 minimum,blade at least 3.5..up to 4 is ok.Blade style is somewhat open..no

no warnie or recurve.I want a somewhat tactical style in the $450-600 range.I want a ti frame lock.

There are so many custom knife makers and I dont know who good in my price range.A friend on BF suggested R.J. Martin.Ive seen pics of his work and I really like his work. The

Overkill is great.

I need some suggestions from you.

can't go wrong with ANY of RJs knives - at last count, I think I have 8 of them, mixture of fixed and folder.

His flippers have great action and ergos, built tough, and of course...scary sharp!

Is the Frame-Lock a selling point?
Black Bear Knives has a fantastic EDC in their Metro Razor. It is a nested liner-lock though.
 
Rick Hinderer, Tom Mayo, Yuna, Tim Galyean, DDR, Shane Sibert, Matt Cucchiara & Gerry McGinnis. I have frame locks from each of these makers.
