We lost another warrior last night. Sgt. Bates, 2nd Plt, was killed while makking a MFF at Fallbrook DZ.

We are diminished..

Terrible news. It says something about a country that is more concerned with idolizing drug addicted movie stars and singers than the warriors that protect it. I know from watching the news last night that two rap stars got off on drug charges, but I didn't hear anything about our troops. Sad...

I am also sorry to hear that, is there a widow and/or children? Life is brutal. Let us know if we can help out.

That is sad news. George Bush's daughter got
more attention from the media for doing something stupid, whereas Sgt. Bates wasn't given any thought. My condolences are with you Mr. Rogers as well as the family of the fallen hero.

Mr Pat,
Our flag will fly at half mast.
Is there an address for condolences to any family member(s)? If not, please forward the Company address for those who may use it.
"...for the light that burns twice as bright, only burns half as long."
Godspeed Sgt. Bates.
Thanks for the post Mr. Pat.

Pat,
I just found out about Sgt Bates. I can't put a face with the name. Please let me know what the Company has planned.

When our Coutry calls us to duty to do extraordinary things, it takes extraordinary men to do them.
Our Flag flies free everyday because the hearts of the warriors that protect it are willing to make the ultimate sacrafice.
Our freedom is measured by the brave men that protect it.
Sgt Bates was doing extraordinary things to protect an extraordinary coutry.
We should all take a moment out of our busy lives time to honor what our fallen warriors provide for us. For if it wasn't for these warriors someone else would be thinking for us.
Lay in rest, Lay in peace.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Sgt. Bates. This man gave his life in service of of our country, and for that we owe him our deepest respect and thanks.

All- thanks. We appreciate all of your concerns.

The price of admission to this club is blood, and i wish only that the masses understood the sacrifices that these warriors make.

I'll make your feelings known to the Company.
