That's a very nice looking design. I have used hundreds of different kitchen knife designs so forgive me if I make a suggestion. If you have sharp corners around the heel of a blade people will tend to nick themselves on them. I would round off the corners of your finger overhang a bit more. With that thin blade stock you need to round off all of your edges (except the cutting edge). People do a fair amount of work by holding or pressing on the blade. With a thin blade the contact pressure on the spine of the blade gets pretty high. You want to make sure they don't cut themselves on the spine.

Smitty Nice looking knife, on future ones think about using corby bolts on the handle, because a knife in the kitchen will sit in water, get run though the dishwasher, and all kinds of other abuse and the epoxy seal will seperate, using the bolts will keep the handleon.

10-4, good recommendation. Are the corby bolts the ones that leave the ring in the middle after grinding? If they are I do not really like the looks of them. I think there are some stainless screws that look like pins after grinding that might give a better look in my opinion. Your comment is a good one as kitchen knives do get abused quite a bit. Thanks!

No corbys will look just like the pins you have in there now ,loveless bolts are the ones you can see the screw in the middle.

Can you tell me where to get the corbys and the appropriate drills and counter sink bits? I usually use 1/4" pins. Thanks for the help!

Most all the major suppliers have them,Jantz,TKS, Tracy. I usualy get the 1/4" Stainless and they will tell you which countersink drill you need.
