Well this is my 1st try at a knife. I bought the blank to give this hobby a try.
The handle is of stag jigged bone
2mil red paper liners
The blade is 440 c steel 10' over all 5 1/8" blade 13/16 thick

I bought all the componts and assembled them, and did a little file work to the back of the tang. I also made the sheath.
Please leave me some feed back so I know where to improve. I have one more premade blade I'm going to try then I'm going to try and do one from scratch.

Thanks for all your feed back, past and future.

I could not seem to post the pics and rocketman did it for me on the post reply below this one.
Thanks Rocketman

Thanks Ice-man28

Nice job! Bolsters are lined up well, good choice of materials - even red liners. You must have had fun doing filework on hardened steel! :D Keep up the good work, and please share your next ones too.

Looks great Todd, very nice file work!!

Only thing i'd do differently would be to wrap that file work arround the butt of the tang ,just till you get to the other side then stop. but that's just a personal preferance thing.

nice work,

Andrew

Super first knife! All components match nicely. Sheath design looks good. Next time wet the leather prior to stamping in the basket weave pattern and make sure to stamp on a solid surface to get a deep stamp.

well ide say you did a real nice job but i have a question maybe someone could anser do you have to use the red spacers. I am asking cuzz i have some kits coming .Plus my first knife and my second had no spacers just glue. Excellent job on the knife iceman.I am getting out the files lol. kellyw

I ordered all components separately. And no you do not need spacers I thought it would make the knife look more custom being as how I did not make the blade, that was also the reason I added the file work. I have one more premade blade to work on then I'm going to try the real thing I have got in touch with a few local guys that will help guide me .

Thanks for everyone comments
Todd
