Made sure the year started off right buy making my first purchase a Becker, and bought it from Tomars too!!!!! Paid a little more, but they support this forum and I've learned a lot from people here. Next is a set of scales from tommythewho to get the project started. Gentlemen, it's going to be a good year. ;) Mike J

Just requested a custom set of handles to be made by Tommy. Being as though this may be my main carry knife, I plan on jazzing it up a little. Just a matter of waiting till everything comes in by mail. Thanks again for this great forum.

I just got a BK2 as well. I love it. I was surprised at how stout it is. What type of wood did you choose?

Just got a BK2 for Christmas, which happens to be my first Becker period, and also put a set of Ipe scales from Tommy on it. Pretty awesome!

Thanks Ethan!!! The weather here has been quite icy and freezing drizzle. I'd love to start beating up the knives using them ASAP. My kids are sneaking into my workshop and playing with the BK7, I can't help but let them...the knife is amazing. My boys (twins) both want BK2 knives. I'm awaiting my shipment which should be here tomorrow, once they see it I know I'll be ordering two more. I have two sets of scales coming in for me from Tommy, one is zebra wood with black liners, and the other is Honduras rosewood. Not sure which one I'm putting on the BK2? The other will be on a BK9 in the near future. I've been working crazy the past few days, but any chance I get I'm digging through this forum learning. Telebrand, your Ipe scales look great!!!!! More to come as I get my stuff delivered.Thank you all!!!

Congrats on your new BK2. It's a great blade for all-purpose use. I've had mine for two years now and without question it's my go-to outdoors belt knife.

As a follow up to this i was outside today after 2 days of power outages and blizzard conditions. I was clearing snow away from the house as we are now expecting to get 20mm of rain and warm temps tomorrow...anyways while taking a break i thought i would take a pic of my of two favorites

Hahaha i sooo hate the iphone 5... Double pics and both upside down. I will fix it shortly when i finish and get in to my laptop.

Wind chill hit an impressive minus 31c (-24f) the other night during the blizzard when the power went out... Thank god for a generator and a wood furnace... I used my bk2 and my bk9 to split some wood to start the fire... Didn't take pics as i was in a bit of a rush to get everything up and running

gotta love a bk2 its a end of the world zombie killing beast lol and a fine woods knife as well.

The BK2 was my first Becker and the one responsible for starting the addiction. Great choice. I know you'll love it and soon enough, it'll have some Becker brothers to keep it company.

I just received the knife and was elated at how heavy duty this lil bastard was. As much as I wanted to strip it down, like where you guys are from it was wicked cold outside.
I'm certain after the scales from Tommy come in there will be a new found flame under my butt to get the project rolling. My kids love this BK2, but the wife is jamming up their hopes and dreams( I will buy them the knives anyway). Now I'm off searching mods here on the BK2 to see what direction I'm going. My buffing equipment came in today, and I was polishing up the BK7. I really love that knife. I appreciate the pics, and all the advice that's pushed my way. Thank you all.

I finally had the chance to work on my new BK2, let me tell you...LOTS of sanding by hand before it hit the buffer. Between many sheets of sandpaper, WD-40, and cleaning up metal dust and debris from that buffer the final product emerged and I was ELATED at the final product. Lots of advice and tips here lead to my success. It was all very much worth it. Maybe going to etch the blade next? Who knows. If there's free time I'll also sand back down the BK7. I can tell you, it's hard not to become addicted to this. There's already an extra set of handles from tommythewho in my workshop, seen them off ebay and had to have them. I want a BK9 next...yeah baby!!!! To better days to come, this year is going in the right direction...and it feels good. Thank you all again for your advice and tips, as you can see it was put to good use. Kudos to all. MJ.
