--1st Spyderco Ever! PM2 bought online, strange configuration.. HELP!--

Good news, the seller was able to provide information from his purchase which was from a reputable dealer. I also compared the knife side by side to my friends and it is identical in every way. Feeling relieved and loving the knife, thanks everyone!

Glad it's real. But FYI since you mentioned sending it in...now that the blade's been swapped, your warranty is voided.

Correct. Spyderco will still verify the authenticity and sharpen the blade free of charge (plus shipping). Although if there is a manufacturing defect I would be out of luck I guess.. Has anyone had to make a warranty claim before?
 
Nobody knows. For folders, best to STAY AWAY from the BAY...
I hope your's is genuine. It may well be.
