1st Spyderco Suggestions?

I'd throw my recommendation to a Delica G-10, if you can find one. Great little knife, I have the Delica 4 FRN and the G-10, they are tough to find but worth the search. The Delica 4 FRN is no slouch, easy to find, and can be had at reasonable prices.

I do however EDC my Para 2, because perception is not an issue where I work or live. Pity you have to concern yourself with that, but it's totally understandable.

Can't go wrong with any of the aforementioned models, enjoy the search, just know, ya' can't stop at just one...;)

Caly 3 CF or Dragonfly g10. Those are my two office carry sPydies. On the weekends I bust out the bigger spydies.....
 
I would add a vote for the Delica 4 also. It is on my EDC rotation but I should note that it does ride a little higher in the pocket than I would sometimes like. It helps that the Delica is not a scary looking knife and as was mentioned earlier it does come in a variety of colors. I have one in foliage green and it blends into khaki pants really well. Anyway...that's my two cents worth...hope it helps.

I always have a dragonfly in my left front pocket, even if my xm-18 is in my right.
for regular activity, it seems to see 98 percent of the work.
mine is the original one with the molded clip, but like i said it just sits in my pocket.
i'd also like to recommend the LeafStorm?

I'm fond of the Sage 1 as I think it represents an almost perfect harmony of beauty, size, and function. The black carbon fiber scales along with the deep wire clip allow for discreet carry, the handsome appearace and mid-range size are non-threatening, and the S30V blade has excellent cutting capabilities. It's a classic in every sense.
 
I Would Go For The Sage 1 Of What You Have Mentioned. It's A Beautiful And Great Knife. I'd Just Get It. Good Steel, CF Is Classy, Deep Cary Clip, And It Looks Pretty And Not Threatening.

If You Want A Bit Smaller... Get The Dragonfly, Still An Excellent Knife.

If You Want Small, And Decently Priced, And Made In The USA, Get A Spyderco UKPK. Deep Carry Clip, Tip Up Carry, Comes In Two Blade Shapes(Or The Rescue). And You Can Get It In A Few Different Steels And Materials:
FRN
G-10
Carbon Fiber
Titanium

Gin-1
CTS-BD1
s30v

Or The Urban As Mentioned, But You Can Get The UKPK In A Decent Steel With Good Materials And Cheap.

Mountainbilly - I abide in Pennsylvania's beautiful Lehigh Valley.

After way more thought than the question really deserves, I settled on the Sage 1. The G10 Dragonfly was a very close second, and probably would have been the more reasonable, sociable choice. Can't wait for it to get here. And again, thanks for all of the great feedback.

Of course, this whole time I was really lusting after a PM2. Hey, fathers' day is right around the corner.
