gonna keep it shortcause I'm on my iPod touch... But WOW... This thing is perfect. I thought you had to pay $350 to get such a finely made piece! I handled a freind's Caly 3 and diddnt like it as much... But this UKPK really is perfect. THANK YOU MY BRITISH FRIENDS....AND THANK YOU SAL!!!

Well... I'm definitely thinking about reconsidering the Caly 3... This was about two months ago... and I just kinda thought... well... ''It's not a Sebenza." ..and I was not toooo psyched about it being riveted together ('cept the pivot), and not being USA made...Though Japan is the net best thing! The liners stuck out from the g10 the tinniest part of a tad (no biggie).

Also... I really like the lighter weight of the ukpk and the linerless design. The whole package is so fantastically simple... I have heard it compared to a SAK, but the retention of my specimen is certainly more robust, and the break is much more acute.

I'm not sure HOW I'd compare the two side by side...but I may just be giving it a shot! (Though my next purchase will more likely be a Military)

The point, which may not be too fine, is that I am blown away by the UKPK. The fit and finish is immaculate! The fit in the hand is perfect for such a small handle! The wire clip is super cool.

The only critique is the tip of the blade when folded... it could be further in the handle.

So far, this is the best $100 I've ever spent on a knife! It will replace my Strider SnG CC and Lg Seb for EDC for a while!! I will add any appropriate updates in this thread... Any recommendations or input is surely appreciated!

I'd like to post a pic, but I am but a lowly "registered member" so I don't have the capability... Once I've used it and had some more experience, I will surely be writing up a better review, and posting pics on JerzeeDevil... I go by the same name there.

No, you can post a pic. Just use photobucket and put the image code in.

You can still post pics. Get a photobucket and use the IMG code to post them.

BTW congrats on the blade.

What didn't you like about the Caly 3?
Do tell, because im thinking about getting one.

UKPK utilizes the same design as the Caly3 except it's lighter, has s30V steel, and is made in the USA. The only sacrifice is the lock, but I find the UKPK's slip joint does a superb job.

My Caly3 is seeing a lot less pocket time now that I got a UKPK
