Currently considering either a Tenacious or a para-millie in S30V. Anyone have any thoughts as to how they compare? The purchase will be my first Spydie.

Thanks,

One is made in China, the other in the US lol...

The Tenacious is more of a "beginner's/entry-level" knife, and the PM is more of a tough man's knife with a stronger lock and better steel.

Make your first Spyder a memorable one: go with the PM!

The first sentance does it for me. We've got enough stuff made in China now. I'm sure it's a great blade, but I can't do it. Para-millie - come to Daddy!

Thanks

The D2 Para is a far superior knife on all levels. Blade steel, lock, ergos, and it's not made in a communist country.

Para is way beyond the Tenacious. Both are great knives for their price bracket though.

The Para is a much better knife... and it will get better when Sal decides to make it a 4 way clip!

The Para Military is made to be superior in all aspects.

It has CPM S30V stainless steel versus the number/letter jumble stainless of the Tenacious (8CrMo13V, or something thereabouts---the exact sequence always eludes me!); the Tenacious has a liner lock, whereas the Para Military has the comparatively stronger Compression lock. The Para is made in Golden, Colorado, while the Tenacious is made by the Chinese.

The Tenacious is excellent for its price bracket, but the Para is significantly better. You won't regretting spending the extra money for the Para.
