I am looking to buy my first ZT and am trying to decide between a 560BW and a 562CF. I wear a large glove but do not have a thick hand, just long. This would also be my first time spending this much on a knife. I was also wondering if anyone knows a store in Connecticut that stocks either of these as I'd prefer to hold one in my hand before buying. The only listed store on ZT website is out of business.

I have both knives and if I had to choose one it would be the 0562CF. Its really a great knife You can go to youtube and watch tons of reviews of each if you already haven't.

I've always found 0560s to be a little too big to be really useful. The 0562CF is a much better choice all around.

0562 is more refined and addresses some of the complaints people had the the 0560. Like getting rid of the jimping on the top of the handle under the flipper tab that grates your finger every time you flip it.

Without a doubt the 562.....cf if you can. Excellent knife!

I own both, I have large hands (wear a large glove size), and for me I really appreciate the size of the handle on the 0560. That is probably my most used and carried ZT. I love the 0562, it's a very classy kind of folder that is very capable. The ergonomics are also spot on for me, with or without gloves. I have a hard time with change though when it comes to a knife I get to use a lot. I have not used my 0562 enough to provide an honest comparison, but I think it can do the same type of job the 0560 does. In summary, you really cannot go wrong with either, I think they are both good choices and the warranty is there should you notice something that might be wrong with either.

You'll find most people's opinions of the two are biased based only on size and/or weight.

If you tend toward larger knives go with the 60. If you want something smaller and are pocket or weight conscious, go with the 62.

The difference in weight, handle, and blade length is really not an issue when looking at the numbers, the bias resides solely on visual perception of the models when in photos.

0560
Overall Length:8.75"
Blade Length:3.75"
Handle Length:5.00"
Closed Length:5.125"
Weight:5.98 oz.

0562
Overall Length:8.25" - 1/2" difference
Blade Length:3.50" - 1/4" shorter
Handle Length:4.80" - .20" shorter
Closed Length:4.8" -
Weight:5.57 oz. - Negligible weight difference, would be hard pressed to notice

Have both and both great as everyone else has said. But my 562cf gets way more pocket time. Personally I just think is a better all around edc. Mine is a bit smoother than the 560, and really like the grind. Also don't get the finger shred from the funky jimping under the flipper tab. If you like the mid-sized multi purpose blades, I'd also check out the 801. Very sweet action, and really like the solid grip and ergos.

Thank you everyone for your advice and first hand knowledge. I've decided to get the 562 since the 562CF model with CTS-204P steel is still available. From here and other places I've also seen almost no negative comments about the 562 compared to a few (but not many) on the 560, that the 562 is a further evolution of the design. I do like that the 560BW even has the handle washed, giving uniformity to the knife, but for an EDC form and function matter far more than aesthetics. I will definitely give the 560 another look if and when I can afford another knife in that price range. Once again, all your help is much appreciated.
