Sorry Jerry, money is too tight to throw it towards an unknown. But, to those with enough money to do so, more power to ya !

No amount of drinking would make me throw money around foolishly. It's like someone wanting a deposit from me for a car without telling me anything about the car except that it has 4 wheels and an engine.

Let's drink more and this might make sense !

I keep telling myself the same thing. I can't think of anything else that I want. Then something like the Triceratops comes out and I realize I should have bought credits at a discount.
 
T Trijicog it's not throwing your money away if you like Busse and kin, it's investing into a future knife you want and getting a discount ahead of time. :)
 
If Trijicog never buys another new Busse then he is indeed money ahead. I am pretty sure that I will buy another one in the future (cough), so even if that credit sits for a while, I will eventually realize the gain. It's not like the bank will pay you a better return on your money. Bring on the satin Boom Parangs!

I do like Busses, but I also like knowing what I am spending my hard earned money on.. I remember back in the day Jerry used to tell us what is coming up and at least what materials the handles are made from without a guessing contest.

Was thinking about this earlier. When considering shop credits, it would be nice to have a rough “roadmap” 6-12 months out.

Ideally, it would be blade styles, like “there are two sword designs, a kukri variant, a BM variant, and several EDC blades on the drawing board.”

If this is too much info to commit then maybe just blade lengths like, “we are considering several offerings in the 4-6 inch blade length range as well as a few in the 8-12 inch range.”

Or even another variant like “we are hoping to offer roughly 6 Busse releases, 4 from the Swamp, and 4 SYKCO blades as well as a smattering of Crab Shack sprinkled in for the upcoming year.”

Only problem I can see with this is people getting up in arms if it isn’t followed exactly, so it would have to come with a caveat that it is to be viewed not as a guaranteed production schedule but rather a glimpse into the mind of the Boss and his vision for the near future.
 
Guys it's pretty simple.... let's not get lost in the weeds. You either have a strong feeling you'll use the credits or not. I myself, would without question blow the credit almost immediately knowing me but I'm an easy sell. I really am picky but I tend to want to at least handle the new hotness to see if there's a better mousetrap out there. What's not to like about 12% below retail credits? A smart man would buy them now knowing dollars are worth less every day, better to trade out of dollars when you are able.
