There are three competing 2.75" Blade Length MidTech Folders. Perhaps there are others?

My favorite is the slim and innovative (no screws) Koenig Zenaida but Chris Reeve Knives Inkosa and Strider Knives PT CC are right up there. All three are titanium frame locks made in the U.S. Only the Strider PT CC is not all titanium and needed time to break in since the lock was sticky.

Apologies for being 'that guy', but I feel like one of the measurements on the Zenaida is wrong as those add up rather oddly.

On a different note, I absolutely would not have thought the Strider would be the lightest of the three.

Ram, thanks for the post - and great photos!

I have all three -- the Zenaida, the Inkosi and the PT CC.

The 2.75 inch folder is my favorite size folding knife. I also have a couple each of the Burger and the Boker Burger Decade in that size, plus the Mnandi.

By the numbers, I have six Strider production PT's, the CCs and the legos. Plus a PT MSC.

You are right about the sticky locks. Production Strider folders need breaking in. And, in my experience, the PTs need a lot more work than the larger models.

My first PT -- an orange exclusive model from GP Knives -- took more than a year to break in fully. Thank the gods, it's now as smooth as my Inkosi and Zenaida.

My more recent PTs broke in within a few weeks or less.

The new models with the swedge were the easiest. One swedge CC model was as smooth out of the box as my PT MSC custom. What a happy surprise.

My guess is that the Strider team that worked on the swedge PTs went to more trouble to get the tolerances right.

Thanks to those folks at Strider!

Now that they're broken in, I actually prefer the feel of the production PTs to their twice- the- price MSC sister.

That said, Strider should get its act together. Someone who buys a $300 folding knife -- now up to $320 -- shouldn't have to finish the work for the manufacturer.

If Chris Reeve and Koenig can do it, I'm sure Strider can, too.

I still like the folders that I have in sizes up to 3.75 inches. But I rarely carry them. The under 3-inch models are my favorites. And these three 2.75 inchers own my heart.

Thanks for the insight. I had copied the specifications from BladeHQ since they're really good with that. I guess not in the case of the Zenaida.

The handle length is actually 3.925". Corrected post #1 with my own measurements for the Zenaida.

If it was Titanium instead of G-10 on the presentation side the PT CC would weigh more. Also, the PT CC has no clip so it saves some weight there as well.

For reference, my PT CC weighs 2.35 ounces and my MSC Performance PT (see below) which is all titanium and includes a clip weighs 2.64 ounces.

Do you have a favorite between the Inksoi, PT CC and Zenaida? By sheer numbers I guess it'd be PT but Inkosi and Zenaida are fairly new.
