These guys are made from AEB-L with an HRc of 61, performed by the good folks at Peter's Heat Treat. The OAL is 7 7/8" which gives plenty of room for a full grip and still packs a 3 1/2" edge. Its thickness of just shy of 1/8" gives plenty of assurance when filleting what every type of game thrown at it. The height is 3/4" with a 4 degree primary bevel leading to a full-flat grind. The edge is then strengthened with a secondary bevel of 20 dps using the Lansky diamond sharpening system. Thickness behind belly edge average is 0.018” and 0.032” at the tip. The spine is 90 degree angle to promote the use of a ferro rod.
The handle scales come in canvas Micarta or G10 and sanded to 200 grit. This leaves the user with good traction and still brings out the finer patterns of the material. Along with the palm swell, I added an indent near the butt that allows the pinky finger to rest comfortably.
The Kydex sheath has its eyelets spaced 1", 1.5", and 2.5" apart to give the user plenty of options of carry.
Weight of a knife is 2.3 oz (3.2 oz with sheath)
These little beauties are sure to not disappoint.
