Just paid the return shipping, the package should leave today I think.. I hope I come back to me soon...
Finally it passed 8 weeks

After nearly 7 weeks, CRK called me, saying they will send my basket case back with no work done. Fine, it WAS a basket case, their standards are high and I admire that.
I am a bit miffed it took 7 weeks to get back to me. Yes they said 4 to 8 weeks, but I would have prefered 4 weeks for the bad news.

Ok, steam released, Life goes on, I'm thankful my house didn't flood.

What makes it a basket case?

I got a call from crk yesterday saying my knife was done and ready to ship. They said when they took it apart they noticed "the lock bar was broken" so fixed it, but had to blast the scales, which I had requested they do not. I don't care about the scales...I'm just wondering how the lock bar was "broken" and I never even noticed.....

Always sucks to hear bad news.

Im sure it took them 7 weeks to get to your knife... Not 7 weeks to determine it was not serviceable.

Ive been waiting in a custom holster for a year... Im assuming my leather guy hasnt been working on my holster for a year lol

Well, I attempted to suggest to the powers that be at CRK, they place more people in this department.

This will not sway me from buying another Sebenza.

Just got mine back yesterday, swapped plain double lug insingo blade for clip point double lug and silver hardware. They noted that my lock bar was "broken" and so they blasted and heat treated it for free. Thanks CRK!!

This is my Grail!!

Love that one. Pure CRK, no extras. Refined, subtle, functional beauty.

Thanks Congo. It's smoother than my insingo had ever been and I love the height of the edge grind. Also it's finally absolutely perfectly centered...well worth the $200. Now it's a $650 sebenza, but they sent back the insingo blade and washers and the blue hardware so if I ever want to go back it's a pretty easy swap. What a kickass knife company CRK is!
