2 bad Vantage Avids

It didn't say in your post, but did you adjust the pivot at all on the first one? The Vantage is rather interesting in it's the only knife I own where I can adjust the pivot and watch the blade move from one side to the other.

Tried this also with the first one, when the blade would center, the action would turn to impossible to open. The only way to open it was to loosen the pivot, which put the blade back over.
 
Ah gotcha. Well, at least it sounds like J Hubbard is going to take care of you. Good luck with the new Vantage!
 
I received my Vantage Avid today. The blade centering is dead center. Opens smooth as silk and damn sharp out of the box. Hopefully they fix you up.

Definitely my new favorite knife.
 
Received my Avid today, from Buck. It's perfect! Lockup, centered, smooth action, perfect!

Now, for my testimonial: I have rarely seen a company step up as much as Buck did to make this right. The quality of product they produce is amazing, and the customer service is unique. Not many companies would go through the steps to make it work between the customer and manufacturer as they did. I look at this knife as being backed by an amazing company.

Thank you big time to Jeff. I hope your company knows how outstanding of a job you do to hold the Buck name in the highest regard.
