2 Best EDC knives going today...

All things considered, the 2 best EDC knives going today are probably the (1) Benchmade Bugout, and (2) Spyderco Para 3 lightweight. I kinda like my Benchmade mini grip a tad better than the Bugout, but the Bugout is such a lightweight champ, and when you add in the deep carry pocket clip, that just pushes it over the top in that battle. That said, you really have to pay for the Benchmade Bugout, as they are running well over $160 now.

You know, actually, I haven't handled one of those before. My 535 is so lightweight, I couldn't imagine carrying anything lighter. However, the mini Bugout appeals to me because I don't have one.

I tried to like the Bugout, hell I still have 2 of them, but I just never fell in love with it like many other people did..

My TRM Neutron 2 does everything my Bugout's did but I like it much better. In all honesty the Presidio II is still probably my favorite BM..

Griptilian and Griptilian. The bugout always felt insubstantial and flimsy, to me. Good ergos are my first consideration, for a knife I'll use all day, and that one just fits right in the hand.

I like my Strider PT and Kizer Begleiter Mini as EDC knives. And the Pena X Zulu on the bottom is pretty good, too. Ignore the watch.

The Hogue Ritter (or mini) is, IMHO, the best EDC quality:value proposition for 99% of people.

I like the bugout. The ones that get the most pocket time for me are the:
Bugout
Para 2/3
Sabenza
Malibu

Not really in that order but those are probably my top 4 most carried. If I put number 5 in there it would be a Mordax of the Protech flavor.

I was never drawn to the Bugout or P3, and don't own either models.

It is actually really difficult for me to say what is the best EDC, for myself or others. There are just so many variables and great options out there.

I had a bugout and hated it. Wasn't for me.

I'm in the UK we're fairly limited here unfortunately - no longer than 3" and non locking. My EDC is normally out of a SAK, Manly Wasp or Boker Tech1.
