2-BOOT/BACK-UP Tanto style (new sheath & pics )

I thought I would play around a little and do a couple of different style tanto back-up pieces . They were ground from 3/16th O-1 tool steel . Peter's heat treat to an Rc59 . specs are:

Steel- 3/16th O-1
O.A.L - 8-1/4" , tip to cord is 4-1/4"
Edge - 3-1/2"
Handles - paracord wrap , one in desert tan and the other in Olive greenDesert tan sold
Flat ground and satin finished
Sheath- 7oz. veg tanned leather with belt clip .
NEW SHEATH AND PICS BELOW FOR THE OLIVE GREEN CORD WRAP KNIFE.WITHDRAWN DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST

I will take the one with the traditional tanto blade, desert tan cord,sheath with clip..sending e-mail to confirm.

The olive handled one looks like it would be an excellent all around edc and utility knife. Nice work :thumbup:

I had a forum member write me with concern about the shape of the sheath for the olive green wrapped knife . I agreed with him so I made a new sheath to follow the blade profile .

Great worksmanship, that traditional tanto looks like a lot of fun. Just looked up 01 tool steel and it uses tungsten! Cool stuff.
