I did not know about the blade length restrictions in Texas. I looked up your code section 46.01 and it looks like a "bowie knife" is also illegal.
Next time I'm in San Antonio I'll have to stop by the Alamo museum and confiscate every one of those illegal bowies they have on display. The law covers everyone, right.

It is funny that the state famous for the Bowie knife has a law making it illegal to carry.

BTW the city of San Antonio has an ordinance preventing carry of locking folders... I hope the state will nullify it some day.
