2 Damascus and Carbon Fiber Ouparators coming up

I agree. You can't see it from the pics but the eye dazzler pattern on that thumb stud kind of blends pretty great with the eye dazzler pattern of that CF scale too so it was kind like fate that I happened across that stud when looking for something else.

I think you will both be pleased. These folders of mine tend to just smooth out and be better down the road too because they are made to pretty tight standards. They'll come apart for example but they fit so snug its a bit of a trick to finagle the cf side off since things are tight fitting but it can be done if you are patient. Right now I'm playing with it watching the screws and going over it. If I feel the same way about both after a day or so I'll be in touch and we'll go from there about getting them to you guys.

Thanks again.

Both shipped out this afternoon. You should both be getting tracking info emails from the USPS web site shortly if you have not already recieved them. If you have not seen it check your spam boxes.

Thanks guys.

Which one do you like best Jay?

Thanks by the way. I don't know that that will ever happen but its a nice compliment regardless.

I like the CF with the blue gem in the thumb stud. They are almost twins and both are fantastic.! As your Aussie friend would say..."good on ya".

Thanks again. Now if the customers feel that way about them all is well. :D

I'm hoping they both get them today.

Hi Steve

I received mine today. As you recall, it's the one with the blue thumbstud insert. Following are my initial impressions of the knife in roughly chronological order starting with when I removed it from the package:

1. Man, this thing is built like a tank.
2. Love the CF.
3. Huge beefy blade.
4. Surprisingly light. Can't feel the weight in my pocket.
5. I got out a Sebenza Small Classic and a Benchmade Mini-Skirmish for comparison. The Ouparator's CF and Ti sides are much thicker than on the other two knives, as is the blade.
6. Initially, the Ouparator seemed twice the size of the Sebenza but when I hold them side by side, they're roughly the same length.
7. The Ouparator is much more substantial feeling in the hand than either of the other two.
8. The action is a little stiff. I knew that going in and expected it. It's already "smoothing out" just in the last few hours and couple hundred openings and closings. :)
9. A very attractive color scheme if I do say so myself. ;)
10. The finish on the CF and the Ti is excellent, as good as the Ti finishing on the Sebenza.
11. The color and texture of the CF are identical to that on my William Henry with CF.
12. Love the Damascus blade. A little less contrast than on the WH but still very distinctive.
13. Love the way it fits the hand.
14. Did I say it's built like a tank?
15. And, yep, it looks like a "cover knife".

So far, love it! After I've had a chance to carry it and use for a month or so, I'll follow up with a status report. If anyone's interested, I'll post a few pictures of it with the other knives I've mentioned so you can get an idea of the size and aesthetics.

I appreciate the "extra", as well, Steve. Very nice!

Good to hear. Now if I can just find out if Chip got his or not I'll sleep better tonight. I always worry a bit when they go out there in la la land on their way to their new homes until I know they are where they were supposed to go.

I too liked your color scheme my friend. Looked pretty great to me too.
Thanks for leting me know you got it. I'll be busy these next few weeks with a lot of projects but if you need me you have my contact info.
