2 Dot Buck 110

ToEarly, Doc-D and Jack .Thanks for your reply. Do you think it would be easer to
sand if I took it apart? That bottom bolster looks like it has a lot of
charactor.:eek:I have never taken one apart .

...Hawkster...I'd leave it assembled. It will add some rigidity to the liners while you're doing the sanding and buffing. Patience is the key word when working on these things at home Hawkeye...slow and easy. When I do scales or blades, I do all of the scale changes and blade work while it's taken apart. I do the finishing of the bolsters and scales ( like yer doin' now ) after it's back together...Yer doin' great...:)...

Hawkeye ,your project is lookin' good, caught 4 channel cats((2)3,5,8 #'s),red ear slider and a big minnow on night crawlers after workin' on the bulldozer below the iron bridge
Threw 'em back to grow up:D

Thats great Ron. I am glad you got to go fishing. The wife had a hen party Sunday .So that means I had Yardboy chores, this week .Not much time for Hawkeye.;)

Looking good!

I might suggest that the tape at the edge of the bolsters may result in a raised edge where the brass and wood meet, instead of a smooth transition from brass to wood.

Doesn't hurt to keep that brass to wood transition, smooth. I just try and not go all the way out on the wood to the scale pins.

just sayin...:o

Thanks Bear Claw. I don't think I will sand it down to where the one pin hole is flush.I going to leave it as is.
