I have two very fine gents slipjoints for sale today. Both have been carried and used gently but still in excellent condition, perfect as an EDC or just to admire the craftsmanship from these two masters:
Tony Bose Gent:
ATS34 blade. Jigged red bone. 3" closed. Spring is flush in open and closed positions but at the half-stop it sits a bit high (a millimeter or so). I can take and email a pic if you want.
I've carried this only a few times, used it to open envelopes. Very medium pull. It can be easily pinched open.
Coop happened to photograph this knife, and I own this copy of the image which Ill include with the sale (for sale here is the top knife in the pic).
Price: Sold
Gene Shadley Gent:
I purchased this one in gently used condition. 2 and 7/8" closed. Fossilized walrus handles.
Sorry, I do not know the blade material.
I've carried and used it just to open envelopes. A few light scratches on the shield and bolsters, hard to capture in pics. Blade is still wicked sharp.
Amazing custom filing.
The pull is very tough. This cannot be pinched, requires a good hold in the nail nick.
No half-stop. The open position snap is super solid and fantastic, closed as well.
Totally flush spring when closed and opened.
Never get tired of admiring this knife. We don't see many Shadley slipjoints at BF, so this is a rare opportunity.
Bade is numbered 1021.
Price: SOLD
Payment via USPS money order or bank check. You can use PayPal but please add 3% to the sales price.
Ill ship each via USPS priority and insured in a padded case.
You must live in the US and be 18 or older for this sale.
No trades.
Thanks for looking.
PM or email me (jamesgotz@me.com) with questions.
