I have no scruples, first time buyer means first time that knife on that day, in this time zone. Many of mine were meant for first time buyers.

I've always been fond of being first but spend far more time being last, oh well.
 
Don't worry Bawanna, I've noticed that we also spend far less money being last :D

I do like where you're going with this "first time buying that knife on that day" train of thought. Coulda went for that Keshar Lal and it woulda been my first one with a Dui Chirra sheath!
 
Ballistol, my wife is a full bred Swede. The time zones can be challenging. She still has quite a bit of family over the sea.

Many that I have met visiting here have passed but still a few, lots of cousins and such on both ends of Sweden, her dad was from the north and her mom was from the south or vice versa, I can never remember.

I sent a message to Auntie to check notes before packing the triangle box for YOU.

For the first time ever, this is a carved balance knife I like....and I have one of little angels on one shoulder and a little devil on the other....What to do? What to do? Better go out back and get some guidance from Maisey Mae, my mule.....

I sent email on bowie 15 min after it went live. Way before you bro - but havent heard anything. I would arm wrestle you for it, but turning those wheels has prolly pop eyed your arms. I have been super blessed lately, i need to cool off or risk burning out my karma. I will concede, no one here deserves a deck of trump cards more than you.

Umi, all's fair in love and war and DOD's and if you emailed, it's yours fair and square. I didn't see any action on it and I'll be sad for a bit but I expect no quarter nor for you to concede, no need for that.

As for ndog, he's got a bowie collection that will make a grown man cry, so I expect he'll be ok after a short sad period as well.
You probably saved my life or at least some large bruises.

Far as the popeye thing, well I'm not the man I used to be, I used to be real good arm wrestling, beat everybody in High School, even the big guys. I dug a lot of fence post holes and I guess that's great training for are wrestling.

Yeah, the sirupati is coming to Sacramento. Yay! Kinda bummed though, I've been waiting for a reti in that size. Oh well, I'm sure there will be another.

Question from a first time bidder:

I haven't received an email one way or the other (that my bid was successful or not) and I haven't seen the knife updated as "SOLD". Is there normally an email or some confirmation that you receive to let you know? How long does it take to get that?

This is basically a one woman show, auntie will answer your email, but she is extraordinarily busy. Sometimes it may take her a day or two to get back to you. If you are the first customer to email her for the DOTD (Done Deal), rest assured, the knife is yours, and she will notify you. If you were not the first customer to contact her for a DOTD (Long Gone), she will also notify you of that too.

The knives when sold, are not always marked "sold" on the thread, as she is one busy lady. Many customers also will send her an email for an item, and NOT post a courtesy EMS here in the forum, and may "stealth shark" a DOTD. Best way to be sure, is to always send her an email, and await her response.

Rest assured auntie's honesty is beyond reproach, if you are the first customer to send her an email for a DOTD, IT IS YOURS.

I got an email last night from Auntie saying the Bowie is mine. I thought how can this be...This post was 45 minutes after her original post telling Ndog to get the bowie, your toofless. Me too by the way.
Anyhow I told auntie to double check her emails to make sure you didn't slip one in before me, you said you've nailed a few so your emails are probably getting through.
I can't PM you or email you so had to post.
If you think there's a goof I'll let her know and you can contact her again for shipping and payment. I'm confused.
Waiting to hear back from her today.

Umi, the Bowie is yours. She did find your email amongst hundreds probably and you win.
She should be letting you know soon. She's off to the dentist today so lets all join hands and hope it's a painless visit. I don't like dentist much, I mean they are ok as people I guess, just don't like em in my mouth much.
 
Today I have to go see dentist and can't make to the post office. I will ship all ordered knives tomorrow.

Long time NDwinkle. Seems while you were suffering from head trauma, I almost had to wrasseled former HS champ Bawanna the sailor.

Youve been gone so long we were about to start dividing up your HI collection. Or at least I was about to start dividing up your HI collection. I dont know what happened to your wife. She was long gone, like that AKB.

Looks like i saved you, you almost caught the deads. Were you measuring your Bowies, or her jewlery?
